AB Suppressor Raptor – 5.56 - 6 Stack

RAPTOR TECHNOLOGY
Built to serve as a solution to the multi-gun and multi-caliber dilemma that suppressor owners face, the Raptor comes in a variety of lengths & calibers to suit your individual needs. Each Raptor suppressor connects via the provided Reflex mounting system or flush mount. You may also opt to utilize the Raptor Adapter to convert the base threads of the suppressor to the “industry standard” 1.375×24 thread pitch for use in conjunction with a wide array of QD mounts on the market.

The Raptor uses spiral shaped baffles to keep the gasses moving while reducing back pressure. Utilizing the Reflex mounting systems greatly increases the suppressor volume without increasing the overall length of the firearm.

The Raptor comes in caliber specific bores such as 5.56mm, 7.62mm, .338cal and .375cal, as well as lengths from 2 spiral baffles to 10 spirals baffles, with Reflex mounting options from 1” to 5”.

AB SPIRAL TECH
Plain and simple, our spirals are designed to be more efficient.Using spirals verses conical baffles gives the gases something to do rather than slamming into an angular wall or hard corner. By peeling gases off of the bore and sending them into a spin, we can greatly reduce the energy of those gases quickly and efficiently. As the gases lose energy, the spiral can be fed with more gases. This spinning effect burns off energy rather than trying to stop it.AB Spiral Technology significantly reduces the back pressure created with each shot. The reduced pressure also creates a much lower tone, making for a more pleasant resonance at the shooter’s ear.

Reflex mounting system
A Reflex mount allows the suppressor to take advantage of the area around the barrel (otherwise unused) to significantly increase the blast chamber volume, without adding additional length to the weapon system. For example, a 3 inch standard Reflex mount increases the blast chamber’s total volume to 7.26 cubic inches, which is equal to 243% of a flush mount’s respective volume.

Advantages of a reflex
-Reduced sound pressure
-Deeper tone/superior harmonics
-Reduced flash signature
-Reduced blow-back out of the ejection port
-Reduced bolt unlock speed/cyclic rate of machine guns
-Reduced wear & tear on the operating system and key components of the host firearm
-Floating weight over the barrel decreased barrel whip, for more repeatedly precise and accurate shots
-Acts as a sacrificial baffle, increasing longevity of the spirals by taking the brunt of the blast

The Blast Chamber
The blast chamber plays a key role in the design of a suppressor, having a direct effect on a multitude of performance variables like accuracy, back-pressure, dB reduction and tone. The blast chamber is defined by the area behind the blast baffle/spiral where the combustive gasses first enter when exiting the muzzle. With an industry-standard flush mount this area is 2.99 cubic inches.
